Local Angeleno Brittany Daley is this week’s #castified winner. Following her appearance on Seal Team’s episode 2×12, she uploaded a picture of herself (on national TV!) to social media, earning her some Castifi Swag and a few other goodies! Brittany is a young actress with already many credits under her belt. From Wet Seal to Seal Team, read on to learn about Brittany’s journey in the entertainment industry.
Where are you from?
I was fortunate to grow up here [in Los Angeles] and not have to face the struggle of figuring out how to get here and how to achieve my goals. The achieving my goals part is still something I’m working towards, but I’m only 18 and if I didn’t already live here doing what I’m doing now probably wouldn’t have been attainable at this point in my life (big thanks to my parents for liking Los Angeles).
What appealed to you about acting?
When I was in fifth grade, I did background on the “Who Says” by Selena Gomez music video. Selena Gomez was one of my biggest idols at the time and getting to spend the day with her and 100 other girls at the beach was something I’d never forget. I love putting myself out there, speaking, and quite frankly the wardrobe aspect of it, so there was nothing about acting not to like for me. I’d make my own little Youtube videos as a younger teen which exposed me to the fact that people won’t always like or support what I do, but that should make me want to work even harder, which is something I remind myself on a daily basis while acting.
What made you sign up for Castifi?
I saw someone post about a job opportunity through Castifi on one of the acting Facebook groups I’m in and I tend to jump at opportunities when I see them. Glad I did!
Tell me about the experience working with Castifi
Everything about Castifi is great. I love how convenient the app made things for me, even down to where to park. I’m the type of person who needs specific details, and Castifi does that for me. I love not having to be stressed about work because it’s supposed to be fun.
Tell me more about the shoot you finished with Seal Team
Working on Seal Team is awesome! I’ve been on the show three times thanks to Castifi and every time I meet the most incredible people. From the crew to the veterans Castifi hires, I always leave set with some interesting insights from the most unique individuals.
What are you most excited about for the series?
I’m excited to see myself and the people I met in the background! It’s a fun little reminder of the great day I had and the memories I made with my fellow background actors.
What advice would you give to aspiring models and actors?
It’s important to enjoy what you do. I won a contest based on a video I made a while back and became the face of a Wet Seal campaign which spiraled into various other modeling projects for me. I tried that out for a while, and now here I am acting. It’s definitely okay to try out different things to see what you like and if you like it all, do it all
